University Housing Contract Cancellation
Housing Cancellation Request
Once occupancy is taken (key received by student or items moved into assigned space) cancellation is not guaranteed. Any student wishing to cancel their housing contract should submit a Housing Cancellation Request. You will receive an email within 3 business days with the status of your request.
Students are encouraged to refrain from entering into another living arrangement/agreement or lease until they receive a decision releasing them from their Housing Contract.
Housing Refund Policy
Refunds will be pro-rated based on the date the student returns their keys to the Office of Residence Life and their room is vacated and prepared for the next resident.
Post Occupancy
After taking occupancy of the room (key received by student or items moved into assigned space) cancellation of this contract will not be considered due to financial hardship, dietary or other special needs other than those listed below. Cancellation of this contract will be considered only for current residents with the required documentation under the following conditions:

Student must upload dated copy of Marriage Certificate; Date must be withing Housing Contract dates. |

Student must upload a copy of military orders on official letterhead confirming duty or training dates and location. |

听Participating in Study 听听Abroad/Exchange Program |
Student must upload a copy of letter or email from university official confirming participation in program. |

听Student has Dependent 听Child(ren) |
Student must upload copy of most recent federal tax return verifying dependent child; if none is available, student must upload documentation verifying they are the parent of a child living with them (see proof of residency documents for minor) |

Other Extenuating Circumstances |
Student must upload personal statement explaining reason for requesting to be released from housing contract. |

Transferring to Another Institution |
Nothing Required. Housing will verify. |
|
Greek Office Term Expired |
Only applicable to offices that expire at end of Fall Semester and student must have completed their live-on requirement. |
